20% off at Olive Nation

Last week I bottled up my latest batch of homemade vanilla extract and started a brand new batch that should be ready to bottle in time for Mother’s Day. I used up the last of my Olive Nation vanilla beans for that new batch and the price of vanilla beans has gone up everywhere since my last order, so it’s good to see a sale!

Through tomorrow, December 14, 2016, Olive Nation is offering 20% off if you enter “TWENTY” as your promo code at checkout. This discount applies to everything (while supplies last), but there is a $15 minimum order. Update: The sale is over, but I’ll keep my eyes open for more goodies from Olive Nation! I always use Olive Nation vanilla beans for making homemade vanilla extract and vanilla sugar, but they offer lots of other flavorings & extracts, spices, baking supplies, and gourmet foods. A free sample offer is available during checkout for larger orders, so be sure to look for the red clickable link at the top center of the checkout page.

In addition to their plump and fragrant vanilla beans, I also shop at Olive Nation for the bottles that I use to package and gift my homemade vanilla extract. My post about making vanilla extract is here and instructions for vanilla sugar are here. Instructions for making homemade vanilla extract are also available if you scroll to the bottom of the Olive Nation vanilla bean page.

I decided I wanted 8 ounce bottles for my most recent batch of extract, so I ordered these since Olive Nation doesn’t carry that size of bottles. They arrived individually wrapped in bubble pack and were in perfect condition. I think the larger size will be nice to gift to friends who do a lot of baking.

Have you ever made homemade vanilla extract? Did you like it?
