Free Kindle Books

I found a few more free (as of the time I’m writing this post) Kindle books that I thought you might find interesting. Please let me know what you think so I’ll know what to watch for.

As a reminder, if you’d like to read free Kindle books you’ll first need a Kindle reader app. If you don’t have a Kindle device but do have a smart phone you should be able to find a Kindle reader app in your App Store or through Google Play. If you want to read Kindle books on your PC or Mac, you’ll need Kindle for PC, which is available free here. The reader is supposed to be free all of the time, but please double-check the price before you download!

There are generally tons of free books offered at Amazon but it’s not the same titles all of the time, so you should always check the price of a “free” book before you click the “Buy” button.

If you like classic literature then please check here. Free classics for children are available here.

The following are some titles that I found this evening. Please double check the prices because prices can change at any time! I haven’t taken the time to read these books since by the time I finished them all they might not be free any more, so I can’t tell you if they are good or not.

  1. Thanks for the reminder of the free books we can get on Kindle. Prompted me to go there and search. I just downloaded- for free- Don’t Make Me Say I Told You So: The Only Investment Book You’ll Ever Need by Jim Patton.

  2. Well, I tried the link but after the first page of 10 or so books suddenly they were all either Spanish or Japanese.. so I gave up. I read most of the classics I did see, except Ulysses and Brothers
Karamazov. The Three Musketeers, The Scarlet Letter and Moby Dick were all good.

The Secret Garden is a book I suggest everyone read. I noticed there was a kindle version but that would be really sad if it did not have the lovely illustrations by Tasha Tudor, and The Door in the Wall by Marguerite di Angeli, and Tom’s Midnight Garden by Phillipa Pearce, and The Wolves of Willoughby Chase by Joan Aiken. Do you know if the kindle versions would have the illustrations? Have you had time to read any of your downloaded books?

I still have my paperback copies of all the books I had to buy for college classes , like the Frederick Douglass one you showed.
