The other day I shared how and why my church provides Valentine’s Day flowers for those in our congregation who have been widowed. You can find that article and how to make a basic silk corsage here. Today I want to share a few pictures of the boutonnieres we made for the gentlemen.
The process is almost identical to the way we make the corsages, but with fewer components and no ribbon. First, cut the flowers off and wire the stems.
Then assemble the boutonniere and wrap the stems in a bundle.
Finally, spiral the end to make it tidy.
More details are available here in the corsage post.
Are you doing anything special to remember those who might not otherwise be remembered on Valentine’s Day?
